Professional experience

Before starting my career as a counsellor I had been working (and am still working) as a behaviour interventionist! I work with individuals and their families who are diagnosed with autism, adhd, and other developmental disorders. Working collaboratively with a care team, I help these individuals improve their ability to function and expand their worlds.

I am also someone with lived experience who has overcome various mental and physical health challenges, because of this I bring a unique perspective of understanding and empathy to my sessions.

I am an open book so if you are ever curious to know more about my experience either professionally or in life feel free to ask!

Preferred Modalities and More!

In terms of modalities and what not, I enjoy blending techniques for a more holistic approach. We can work together on things like cognitive reframing, while learning to accept our environments, all while we work to change them to help with unwanted stress and any  unresolved trauma in our lives. Things like art therapy, play therapy (not just for kids!), and other creative outlets are all utilized in our process together!

As for the 'more' some crafts and other things I really enjoy that could potentially enter the therpay office are therapeutic doodling, watercolour, uno, and pretty much anything we want!
