Coping vs Healing

Are you functioning but constantly exhausted? Maybe it feels like you're constantly holding your breath under water through life. Rest is no longer restorative?
These are all signs you may be coping with your struggles but not yet healing from the things that are weighing you down.
Sometimes we push and push and push, we mask our struggles to the outside world, and we simply keep moving forward. It seems practical, maintains productivity, and keeps our issues silent. Under the radar is where we struggle when we are high functioning. The need or urge to heal isn’t always there because it doesn’t feel necessary or urgent.
In healing we give space for emotions to be processed rather than managed away, this allows us to develop compassion for ourselves rather than this constant pressure. With healing, having choice becomes a consistency in our lives, we no longer always have to react to triggers but rather choose how we respond to them. Through the healing process it becomes more accessible to build a life that doesn't revolve around your personal pain.
